Great strides made in driving the AES Engineering Ltd Group forward while always keeping the future of the planet at the forefront of everything we do are highlighted in our new Sustainability Report.
Our 2025 report rounds-up the major developments of the past two years and looks at our strategy to attempt to make the world a better place.
The document details the company’s work on sustainability within the business and the communities in which it operates, people and wellbeing and its innovative plans.
Over the past two years, the group has gone beyond Net Zero for the fourth consecutive year and decommissioned the last of its natural gas-fired heating systems at its Rotherham headquarters, where it has also opened a new 1km Tree Walk.

Development of its 175,000 sq. ft. Factory for the Future site has continued, and the company won the 2025 King’s Award for Enterprise in the sustainability category.
Elsewhere in the report we detail progress on our pledge to invest £29m on environmental projects by 2029 and our promises to future generations, which we will deliver through our mission
To become the leading global reliability business, delivering solutions to help industry save water, energy, cut pollution and create a better world
We feature our work to foster relationships with the younger community, colleges and apprenticeships, our sponsorship of local initiatives, charities and events.
We also look at the company’s investment in robots and expansion across the Netherlands, Canada and USA, as well as our building in Brisbane gaining BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) status, the first in Australia to do so.

Other notable achievements include the invention of EcoGuard™, which deals with the problem of the venting of damaging methane gas, and the continued development of innovative technology that has saved large customers across the world hundreds of millions of litres of water every year.
Concluding the report, AES Engineering Ltd Group managing director Chris Rea said:
Our business model, planning for a sustainable future, and caring for customers, has helped drive AES Engineering forward and enabled us to double down on our support for the environment.
We can, and will, do more.
My personal hope is that our example will help persuade industry worldwide that seeking profit does not have to come at the expense of a long-term future for our planet.
