The French company Norpaper Nantes was having issues with the seal of its mixer’s drain pump, which was not working properly and typically needed replacement after only three months, resulting in significant labour costs and lost production. The cause of the problem was the presence of particles in the plant water supply, and a lack of consistency in water pressure.
